A cheery wintery get well soon card combining the cute Geraldine stamp from Woodware with the Nuvo Creative pens (310N to 321N) and the Tonic Bowscale (1215E) card blank layering die set (just using it as a rectangle, not to make a card blank :D) :D I decided to stamp my image using my MISTI, because I usually use my versafine onyx blank ink to stamp with and then colour (even though it's not recommended) because it gives a nice deep black line, but as this was the first time trying out Nuvo pens I thought I would be good and use the recommended ink which is Memento, and I never get a nice black image, so when using the MISTI I can stamp it multiple times to get that lovely crisp black outline :D I did use the versafine for my sentiment though :D
For the colouring I basically used every single pen in the range lol well not quite I didn't use the skin tones set or the metallic set :D And for each colour I just started with the lowest number (lightest colour) within each blend set, these give fantastic smooth blends that pretty much look seamless :D I then go to the medium colour and then the darkest and then I work my way back to the lightest so the blend is smooth :D also you wanna make sure that you work in small areas at a time so that the initial base coat of colour is still wet then the other colours will blend in better :D As Geraldine (the Giraffe, named by Woodware) is wearing a scarf, I thought I would add a wintery background of falling snow, and for this I used the lightest blue, the lightest grey, the medium grey and also the blender :D I first added dots of the colour, then I went around the edge of each snow dot with the blender, this gives a lovely diffuse effect :D For the finishing touches, I added some clear sparkle to the scarf and some of the snow, a sketchy black line around the interior of the Bowscale frame, and I also added a dot of 3D gloss over the eyes too :D Hope you like the card :D

Thank you so much to Tonic for sending me the whole set of Nuvo pens, and a gorgeous selection of dies too :D There'll be lots more videos to come using Tonic products :D I've also just ordered some more products from their Nuvo range which I will be sharing in my videos too : D
My honest opinion about these pens :D I have only used Promarkers and Spectrum Noir before, and Promarkers are my favourite, but I have to say that these are just as good as Promarkers, if not better!! The colour blends they come in are fantastic, you get a nice smooth transition between colours and there is a great mix of really nice pale colours as well as bolder tones too :D When I was colouring the image for this card (this was the first time I'd used the pens, when you see me open the pens in the video, that was the first time of using them, I haven't even done my colour swatch yet lol :D) I didn't find myself wanting any other colours! I especially love the browns and reds as I often struggle to find three pens that will give such a seamless transition!! :D You will definitely be seeing me using these pens in lots of videos, and I'm dying to try them in combination with Promarkers too :D I'm thinking if I mix the two brands together it might help me get some better blends than I have before with some of my Promarker colours :D Also these pens have a bullet nib and a chisel, I haven't tried the chisel nib yet, but the bullet tip is great, a nice firm nib so you can get that fine detail! :D
