Quick Christmas Cards with Arteza Acrylic Paints :D

A set of really quick, easy and simple Christmas cards that are great for batch making :D You might have seen these cards in my Up Close video looking at the Arteza Acrylic Paints. As you can see in the video they're so simple, and because we're adding such thin layers of paint, the backgrounds will dry in no time :D Plus it gives you a chance to pull our all your adorable little Christmas critters to add as the focal points :D I really love how they turned out, and will definitely be doing some more, hope you liked them too :D :D See you for Day 6 tomorrow! :D xxx

Susan's Garden Die Collection Inspirational Mini Hop :D

Day 4 of my CRaFTi Advent series is a little different, it's actually a blog hop!! My first ever blog hop, with a bunch of wonderful crafters from the Tonic UK Design Team :D There's a list a little further down, telling you where you are on the hop, and who to go and see next :D We all decided to do a unique project using the fabulous Susan's Garden Club dies from Tonic! And we decided to do it now because all the dies are currently on the WednesDIES deals on the Tonic Websites, with a massive 20% - 30% reduction on the bundles, which is phenomenal for such a new release of dies :D We've also got a giveaway happening too, so scroll to the end of my blog post for all the details :D

I decided to do a modern twist on the die sets, using them as apertures with a Nuvo background :D I also did a Christmas card duo with the dies a little while ago, so I'll add that below too :D Susan makes absolutely stunning realistic looking flowers with her die sets, but I wanted to show that they can still be used in other ways too :D I will be attempting some of the proper realistic style type flowers, as I just invested in some Pan Pastels, so I can do some of Susan's fab techniques :D :D

Here's all the blog hop participants :D Hope you enjoy hopping along :D The list is at the end too :D

A Very Happy Polkadoodles Christmas :D

Day 3 of CRaFTi Advent features lots of Polkadoodles products, and all their Christmas dies (3 of which I used on these cards) are currently on sale at 65% off!! So make sure to go and check them out and grab a bargain!! :D I made this pair of Christmas cards a little while back when the Floral Fireworks stamps launched on Hochanda, but thought I'd save it for CRaFTi Advent :D I had great fun playing with a couple of Polkadoodles paper pads, adding clear heat embossing and then colour tinting with Distress Inks to give the papers my own spin, and I was also using my Gemini Go for the first time too!! It's so handy having a dinky machine on your desk, and being electronic, the pressure is much better for detailed dies than any of the tiny manual machines out there :D Hope you enjoyed today video, and don't forget to grab a bargain on Polkadoodles website while stocks last!! :D

Paper Piecing with Tonic Keepsake Insert Dies :D

I'm using CRaFTi Advent to force me to edit some videos lol, so I'm mixing in some ones I filmed a while ago (like this one) with brand new ones too :D I have soooo many un-edited videos I'm running out of space on my hard drive lol

So today's video is a card I made using the Keepsake Insert Creator dies from Tonic, I just used one of the small panel dies from the special memories set (first in the list below) and used some colours of craft perfect (inspired by their Arabian Nights collection from 2018) to paper piece the doubled up design :D A really simple card, it does take a bit of time to do, but I find it very relaxing :D :D Hope you enjoyed it :D

SSS Diecember Thanks with Lots of Cosmic Shimmer :D

My first day of CRaFTi Advent :D This year I'm basically just using it as an incentive for me to edit and upload a video everyday until Christmas, so I hope you enjoy having a new one each day! I wish I could keep this up all year round, but I think a month will be all I can manage lol :D

I was originally planning on making 3 cards, with lots of cosmic shimmer products in the background, and the focus on the brand new Large Outline Thanks die from the Simon Says Stamp Diecember Release, however, I had lots of leftover pieces from cutting the die 6 times... It's great fun to play around with this die and piece back in the different colours, so that's exactly what I did, which generated 3 more cards, then finally I just had 3 sets of the main fall away letters left in white, so I created another inky background, stacked the letters and placed them on top, which gave me a total of 7 cards :D So not only is this die fun the play around with, it also creates really quick and easy cards, and you might even end up making more than double the number you planned lol :D

Thanks so much to the lovely people at Simon Says Stamp for sending me the wonderful Large Outline Thanks die to play with, I absolutely love it! And don't forget to check out the rest of the wonderful products in their new release :D
