An abstract use of the Windows of Memories die from Spellbinders :D This set has a gorgeous frame work that will be fab for home decor and even art journalling projects, but I thought using a part of it in the background of this card would also work well :D And the flowers and leaves in this die set a brilliant too, I love the way they come with the hole in the middle, perfect for when using brads too :D Sorry it's another Mother's Day card again, I had a lot of commissions for them this year, and thought I might as well film them all :D You can easily switch the sentiment to anything you want :D
To begin this card, I built up my background using a couple of Distress Ink colours and a mini ink blending tool, then I added some stenciling using the Wavy Mask by That Special Touch, and I also layered up some stamping (this time using Hero Arts inks) I used the gorgeous Doodled Borders stamps by Lisa Horton from Creative Expressions :D And for the final touch to the background, I splashed on some watered down Inka Gold :D The card I cut the flowers out of, was also made using the Orange Inka Gold I used for the splashes, this was a left over from ages ago when I was creating a wash using Inka Gold :D And the Green card was a leftover from even longer ago! I think it was a mix of Distress Stain and Mica powder, but I had it left over and just painted it onto a scrap of white card so I didn't waste it :D The lovely scripty Happy sentiment is also from another Stamp Set by Lisa Horton called Stylish Script (another must have sentiment set!!) and I teamed this up with a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets to complete the sentiment :D For the final touches, I added two different tones of Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops to the centres of the flowers, and I also added a scattering of iridescent sequins too :D Hope you liked the card!! :D
