Love and Laughter Shaker Card :D

A love themed shaker card using the lovely elegant occasions free gift from issue 161 of Simply Cards and Papercraft along with the reader offer from CraftStash where you can get a set of coordinating Creative Dies dies :D

So to create this card, I used two of the nesting dies to give a frame shape for my shaker element, then I also cut the biggest die again to create the shaker backer :D I then ink blended this with some Distress Inks and over stamped using an ombre ink pad and some of the free stamps from the Elegant Occasions stamp set :D I used a layer of foam tape around the perimeter of the frame to create my shaker well, and I stuck this on after applying the acetate to the reverse of the frame :D I then loaded it up with heart sequins and tiny red micro-beads, then I sealed it using my ink blended and stamped backing piece :D For the focal cluster of elements, I used the Avery Elle Stamp set called We R Family for the 'Rose' stamps and then I free-hand drew some leaves to coordinate with the style, and then coloured them all using ProMarkers :D And finally I assembled everything together, using one of the sentiments from the free stamp set, and adding in some doodled lines to emphasize the Ornate shape of the frame :D

The Big Comic Relief Crafternoon :D

I thought I'd make a blog post for these cards, just becuase I'd taken so many photos lol, but these cards don't really need any written explanation as they're just really simple kit card type cards :D Mum brought this Mollie Makes Crafternoon mag so she could make the pom pom emoji in the foreground of the photo above, and the mag came with some free papers, so I thought I'd use them to make a quick video in honour of Comic Relief being on telly tonight :D

Here's the link to the video :D

Loads more photos of the two quick cards I made below :D

Pretty Quick With Love on Your Birthday :D

A really quick and simple card using the gorgeous paper, stamps and Pretty Quick floral panel die from the Die-Cutting Essentials Special Edition Volume 4 :D A really versatile kit of products with tonnes of fab ideas of cards to make in the magazine too :D A really simple card today utilising the gorgeous free papers from the magazine, and this design actually comes in a few different colours, so it would be great to make a set of cards in different colours, and as this is such a simple design you'd have them made in no time :D I also used the free Pretty Quick panel die too, I cut it from white card (which I later coloured with a black sparkle pen :D), then used some scissors to snip into it and create two corners and some separate flowers to frame the piece of patterned paper :D I then simply added some sketchy doodles, my sentiment and some pre-made black gloss Nuvo Crystal Drops, and that was it, such a simple card :D Hope you liked it :D Don't forget to get your copy of the Die-Cutting Essential Special Vol 4, I might also have some cards in this issue too :D

Another Year Flies By Butterfly Trio :D

A simple stapled butterfly card created using the phenomenal Ultimate Crafts A4 stamp set free with issue 41 of Creative Stamping :D I'm so excited to be in this issue of Creative Stamping, with a feature I did using Distress Markers :D I had so much fun playing with the markers and experimenting with some colours of Distress that I hadn't tried before too :D

Today's card was really quick and easy to create, I simply ink blended Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Abandoned Coral Distress Ink onto some white card, then I over stamped that using the same colours with the text background stamp from the set :D I then flicked on some water and blotted that off, then added some sparkly splashes using some purple Pixie Powder too :D I stamped my butterflies and watercoloured them in using the same colours of Distress ink, again splashing them with some Pixie Powders too, and I simply cut around these leaving a really narrow white border, then I stapled them to the card :D I LOVE stapling butterflies to my cards, I don't think I've done it in any of my videos so far, but it is a favourite technique of mine :D I should have stapled them before attaching the front panel to the card, but I forgot lol :D Then the final finishing touches were some clear sparkle pen and some gloss white Nuvo Crystal Drops :D Hope you liked the card! And don't forget to get your copy of Creative Stamping Issue 41 :D

A Tonic-tastic Mother's Day Card :D

Another cute Mother's Day card, this time using a load of Tonic products including their fab alcohol pens, embellishment mousse, glimmer paste, stencils, dies and jewel drops too :D And of course I had to finish it all off with some adorable Lawn Fawn critters :D For all the colouring I used the Nuvo Creative Pens from Tonic :D

To create the background, I firstly blended on some Aquamarine Mousse using my fingers, then I laid the falling diamonds stencil over the top and added some of the Cornflower Mousse using a piece of Cut n Dry foam :D I then used some of the Sapphire Glimmer Paste through the Sunray Scallop Tonic Stencil off to one side, as I knew I was going to add the three aperture panel, and I only wanted the paste to be behind that (those thin border stencils of Tonics are absolutely fantastic for things like this!!) This Glimmer Paste dried in no time too, I stamped coloured and cut out my Mermaids and once I was done, then Glimmer Paste was already dry :D To create my three aperture piece, I used two different sizes of Tonic layering circle dies, having a smaller aperture in the centre, I then raised this up with some 3D foam and tucked in all my cute little characters :D And my finishing touch was a few Nuvo Jewel drops (you can't have a Tonic card, without some Nuvo Drops :D) I like to make mine ahead of time and store them in a little container, that way they're always ready for when I need them :D Hope you liked the card :D It was another commission for a Mother's Day card from my gorgeous little God-Daughter :D

Cascading Circles Spellbinders Mother's Day Card :D

A really cute Mother's day using the fabulous Cascading Circles Spellbinders die, I love this die (along with the Cascading Butterflies and Cascading Stars) so much, as they can be used in so many different ways :D And the circle die looks especially cute when it's teamed up with these gorgeous little Mama Elephant critters too :D

I started by ink blending on some Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks, then I used a sentiment stamp to add some tone on tone stamping using some Bubblegum Hero Arts ink :D I stamped out all my little critters using my MISTI so that I could get a nice crisp and deep black image (and I also stamped them twice so I had some already stamped for a few other cards you'll see over the next month or so :D) I then used ProMarkers to colour in the critters using some traditional colourings of the animals and some slightly more wacky colours too to give a fun feel, and also to tie the critters in with the background colours too :D I cut out all my images ready, then I die cut the Cascading Circles die, placing this down on the card along with the sentiment to get my positioning right, then I added in all my little characters so that some were tucked into the circles, some overlapped the circles and some were jumping across multiple circles :D I wanted to give this card a really fun feel, as it was a commission of a Mother's Day card from my little God Daughter to her Great Granny :D Hope you liked the card, I really want to try this design with the Cascading Stars die and some more masculine colours, I think it would look fab :D
