Happy Halloween Tonic :D

A lovely creepy card to celebrate Halloween :D I LOVE the Halloween range from Tonic, and this drippy skull has to be one of my favourites :D :D I just had to step up the horror of the card for Halloween by adding in some blood stained ripped edges, active blood spatters and red drips on the bottom of the skull, it all adds extra drama :D :D Hehehe :D I also doodled on some barbed wire down the two sides too to tie in with the black of the stunning drippy Happy Halloween sentiment :D Oh and of course, I had to make the skull a shaker too, it was just screaming out to have some spiders shaking around in there :D :D :D Hope you liked this Halloween Blog Tonic special :D :D :D

You Are Spooktacular Spellbinders :D

A simple spooky witch shaker card :D Experimenting with brayering Oxides onto coloured card, then using a mixture of ghosting and white ink to add the medallion pattern :D I really love the shape of this witch die too, I added some of the landlocked areas back in too, to give her more shape, you just simply stick them to the acetate :D I wanted her silhouette to be really prominent, so I went for adding a black back to the shaker and using black sequins so her shape is really clear, but you still have the fun element of a shaker :D I then finished the cards with some white faux stitching around the edges, and because I added the Seedless Preserves ink to the card, the white pen picks up the colours so you get a variation in the stitches :D Hope you liked the card, there'll be another really creepy Halloween card tomorrow too :D

The Christina Collection - Paper Piecing and Creative Expressions :D

As soon as I saw the Trellis Dies from Christina's collection, I knew I had to do paper piecing with them!! It did take me hours to create them (while watching the telly) but it's actually quite addictive once you get going :D Some of the shapes aren't exactly symmetrical, but once you've done a few it gets much easier to know which way round to put the pieces, and there are literally hundreds of patterns you can create, and you can use any number of different pieces of coloured card to create your patterns too :D I thought as the backgrounds took so long to make, that I would keep the decoration simple, so I decided to team them up with some Creative Expressions dies, using a couple of round frames from Sue Wilson and the Stylish Script word dies from Lisa Horton :D I really like how they turned out, and as you've seen in the video I have lots of pieces left to make more cards from :D :D : D

The Christina Collection - Custom Stamped Background :D

In last Tuesday's video I created a stamp from funky foam using the Quatrefoil Trellis Die set from The Christina Collection, and as soon as I saw all the fall away pieces out of foam, I thought oooooh, I could stamp the background and then use colours to stamp in the spaces too :D So that's where these cards were born from :D The Distress Oxides work great for the stamping, and I used lots of wonderful Nuvo Crystal drops to embellish :D :D Hope you liked them :D
