Hinged Die-Cuts Masterclass - Die-Cutting Essentials Issue 42 :D

Hello :D Thought I'd do a blog post on one of my Masterclass features from this month, this one's from Die-Cutting Essentials Issue 42 and shows you how to create that hinged die-cut look using any dies from your stash :D :D I've used lots of gorgeous Tonic dies in this feature and teamed them up with some Lawn Fawn products too :D :D Make sure to grab your copy of the magazine (linked below) if you'd like to see step by step photos and written instructions on how I made these cards :D :D There's also tonnes of other fab projects in the Mag and of course you get a magazine freebie too :D

Winter Spruce Shaped Shaker Card :D

This stunning Winter Spruce die was another of the brand new Tonic die sets from their 17th Birthday celebrations, along with the gorgeous additions to the Pure Sheen Confetti, Glitter and Sequins and for this shaped shaker card, I've teamed them up with one of this years Christmas sentiment dies too :D I really love how this card turned out, and I did something similar to this and made it into a double sided Christmas tree decoration, and that video should be up on my ArTi PoTeNTiAl channel next week :D :D Hope you liked the card! Nuvo Embellished Cascading Hearts :D

I love doing Nuvo Embellished cards where I fill different areas with different products from Nuvo, so I thought I'd do a version using the BRAND NEW Nuvo Expanding Mousse and Nuvo Vintage Drops :D :D :D The brand new Nuvo Vintage drops are a fabulous addition to the Nuvo range, not only do they come in some fab new packaging, based on a vintage perfume bottle, with a cute little hexagonal gem on the top and little label too, but they also have a new finish to them once they're dry, they have a gorgeous satin matte finish that takes 48 hours to completely develop :D :D Have a look at some of the up close photos below to see the difference in finish between the new vintage drops and the original gloss finish :D :D There will also be an up close video coming soon to my Know How channel too, giving you an in depth look at the brand new colours :D :D :D Hope you enjoyed the video!

Happy 17th Birthday Tonic :D

Tonic recently turned 17 years old!! And had a massive event to celebrate on Hochanda :D The first brand new product launch was the fabulous Nuvo Expanding Mousse and Nuvo Vintage Drops, both of which I've used on this card :D :D I've also teamed the products up with the Milestone collection which came out a month or so ago, and I've used the 'grouting' technique on the frame using the phenomenal expanding mousse :D :D

CRaFTi Critters with Nuvo Shimmer Powders and Glimmer Paste :D

There will be a second part to this video showing how I finished off the other 4 cards too :D I had over 2.5 hours of footage, so thought I'd better split it into two videos lol :D I was having fun playing with the Glimmer Paste and Nuvo Shimmer powder technique that I saw Paula Pascal do on Hochanda a while back, then I used my Crafti Critters to embellish each of the cards mixing and matching the different sets :D

Tonic Craft Kit #13 with Lawn Fawn Papers :D

Obviously, I just had to do some paper piecing with the gorgeous chevron detail die from this months Tonic craft kit!! and I thought why not use some of the new Lawn Fawn papers :D and if you go for a small pattern that is tone on tone, it doesn't matter if you put the pieces in a different order than they were cut as you can't tell :D :D and once you've filled in as much as you want, you can do my usual trick of adding on some Nuvo glitter, this is also great to fill in any gaps around the paper pieced pieces, as we were double cutting some sections and the die isn't completely uniformly repeating, it did change some of the areas slightly, but I think the extra bits of glitter that stuck to the exposed adhesive look really good, it's almost like a glitter drop shadow :D :D Hope you liked this extra bit of inspiration using the kit! I also stuck the inside of the gift card box on the inside so you can add a gift card into the little pocket too :D
