Butterfly Congrats :D

A congratulations card (I'm thinking for a wedding) made using the Apple Blossom Botanicals Frame die as a background, just one frame die cut created the whole background :D I then used a combination of pearl and antique gold acrylic paint to colour my background, and used a butterfly die to cut an aperture :D I cut the butterfly die 3 times to create a dimensional effect, I folded each butterfly in half and attached the wings to one another so that it pops up once recessed back into the aperture :D I used the waste from the middle of the frame die to back the aperture, cut my sentiment and cut my heart embellishments, so there's no waste :D Hope you like the card :D

Reindeer Games Thank You :D

A trio of thank you cards using some of the stamp sets I got for Christmas, along with the fabulous Hampton Art Stamp Perfect stamp positioning tool, and the gorgeous Tonic Studios Nuvo Alcohol pens :D :D :D I used a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets called 'Snow Cool' and 'Plan on it - Holidays' I used the Mama Elephant 'Reindeer Games' stamp set (I've wanted this set since it came out, and my Nan brought it for me for Christmas :D) and also the Calligraphy letters set from Altenew :D

I decided to add a loose Bokeh effect background, and I used a Mint coloured Promarker, and then an Altenew Crisp ink and some of the tiny round stamps from the 'Snow Cool' set to create this :D I also used the ink pad to add a border using the word 'thanks', this is from the 'Plan on it - Holiday' stamp set, and it actually says 'thanksgiving' however I know I'll never use this, so I cut it in half so I now have thanks, and also giving (you never know when you might want to create your own custom sentiment, and you just need the word giving lol) :D Hope you liked the cards :D

Happy Birthday Baby Boy :D

A baby boy themed card which would be perfect for a little boy's birthday card :D Made using the Perfect Pandas free gift from issue 142 of Papercraft Essentials :D This is such a gorgeous gift, so don't forget to get your copy of the magazine, as there are some of my cards in there too using this fab free gift :D I had great fun making the cards for the magazine, it's a lovely versatile set because although it's Panda themed, if you don't like Panda's you can easily use the other stamps in the set to create really different cards, such as the card I posted yesterday :D

I finally got some Cosmic Shimmer gilding polish the other day, and so I just had to use it, so I decided to try two different techniques :D The usual way of just using the applicator tool to blend the polish across the surface, and I also wanted to experiment with stamping too, so I used a palette knife to spread a little bit out onto my glass mat, then I gently inked up my stamp and stamped it onto my card :D It works FABULOUSLY!!! I will definitely be trying this again, I think this would look fab on a big background stamp :D I hope you like the card, it's a pretty simple design and you should be able to follow along in the video below, if not you can always leave a question in the comments :D

Floral Letter Thank You :D

I love this stamp set, and I've actually got some of my cards in the magazine it's free with, issue 142 of Papercraft Essentials (which is out today, Thursday 12th January 2017) I'm not sure what page they're on yet, as I'm writing this ahead of time lol :D But anyway one of the cards I made in there inspired me to make this card :D The focal panda images in this set are gorgeous, but sometimes it's fun to focus on the smaller or less focal stamps in the set :D However there will be a card featuring one of the pandas tomorrow :D

This card is really simple to create, and I reckon if you used the Hampton Arts Stamp Positioning Tool of the MISTI you could easily batch make this card to create a thank you notecard set that would be a fab present :D Plus because I used Inktense watercolour pencils and a sparkle pen to colour the images, the colouring process is really quick too, so that's also perfect for batch making :D You will need to do a bit of masking to create this card (and I reckon this idea would work for lots of other letters too, either the initial of the recipient, or even a B for a birthday card, or an S for a sympathy card and so on :D) and I like to use the full sticky post-it notes when masking as they stay sticky for a lot of uses, and they actually stay put which is great :D You can see in the video below how I was stamping an image, then masking it, then stamping the next image etc... to create my letter :D Hope you liked the card!
