Laughter is the Best Medicine with Tonic :D

An abstract Get Well Soon card :D I love this little stamp set with the Love & Laughter sentiment (mainly because the Laughter word has my smiley face in hehehe) but I thought why not team that with 'is the best medicine' to make a get well soon card :D :D :D I was also trying out a new colour scheme with this card (well one I haven't tried before) using rose gold with copper, and I really like the look :D :D This video was also the first one I filmed using my new Tonic Tangerine Die-Cutting Machine, and I have to say, it is a wonderfully powerful machine! I've called my Clementine :D She cuts perfectly, and I love the simplicity of the plates too, there's even one to use with an embossing folder! No more fussing around with shims of paper etc lol :D :D Anyway, hope you liked today's card and video :D

Let Your Light Shine with Spellbinders :D

A card idea redo (plus make better) from years ago, when I did the same thing with white heat embossed roses, but I watercoloured using Distress Stains. However I thought this gorgeous Moon Flower stamp and die set from Spellbinders would be a great image to re-create the card with, and I thought why not try out my Aladine Dye Ink Pads for watercolouring, and they work fabulously!! AND even better, they're only £1.50 a pad!?!?! I might have just ordered the rest of the colours hehehe :D :D These are a great versatile ink, they're great for stamping, watercolouring, ink blending and they even ghost really well too (lots more videos to come showing how I've used them!) :D :D I then used another set from Spellbinders (the Light Shine set) to add on some over stamping in the background, I think this really adds to the card, and it's something I probably wouldn't have done 3 years ago when I made the original card hehehe :D Here's the link to my original card from ages ago :D :D

Violets in a Hand Cut Aperture :D

I've done this technique multiple times with stamps that have coordinating dies, but I thought I would give it a go with hand cutting my own aperture for a change :D And my top tip is, add some Cosmic Shimmer glue around where you've cut and add some chunky iced snow glitter jewels, this easily hides any mistakes or messy cutting :D :D :D

Hello Dragonfly Wishes :D

Dragonfly Dreams came free with issue 171 of Simply Cards and Papercraft :D A lovely detailed dragonfly stamp with coordinating die :D :D I'm really late with posting this video, as the magazine came out in November?!?!?! Where has the time gone!!! But anyway, I'm determined to catch up with my magazine freebie videos, I'm currently 10 behind :/ fingers crossed I'm caught up by the end of Feb hehehe :D :D For the background, I simply brayered on some acrylic paint, then added some stenciling with some Dyna paint (for a bit of shimmer) then I over stamped with one of the stunning NEW background stamps from CraftStash and quickly wiped over with kitchen roll to push the stamping behind the Dyna paint stenciling :D P.s. I have a masterclass feature in this issue doing Distress Oxide resists too :D :D
