Tonic Floral Aperture Stamps with Nuvo Watercolour Pencils :D

Some simple heat embossed and watercoloured cards using a couple of the new Floral Aperture stamps from Tonic along with a Get Well Soon stamp set from CraftStash :D I love this technique of white heat embossing outline images, then using traditional watercolour, Distress Inks or in this case watercolour pencils to add colour :D In the past (and in the landscape card photographed below) I have added colour to the entire background too, but I quite like the subtle effect when you leave the background white like the two cards above :D I also stepped these cards up a tad, and used some Nuvo Glitter Markers to add some sparkle and deepen the colour in some areas :D You could also have used the Aqua Shimmer brush rather than a plain Aquaflow Waterbrush to get a similar effect too :D Hope you liked this trio of cards! I have another trio for tomorrow too lol :D :D :D

Fabric Inspired Loose Watercolour Cards :D

I was heavily inspired by a pattern of fabric I'd seen recently when creating these backgrounds, as soon as I saw the fabric, I was like, I could do that with watercolours, and it'd make a great background, so that was it lol :D and the great thing is it's supposed to look messy and loose so if you don't like something, it just blends in and adds to the overall look :D : D :D I finished off the cards by die-cutting with my A2 double stitched rectangle die, and using some of the new Card Making Magic products too :D :D :D

Main products used :D
Ranger Distress Ink Pads
Card Making Magic - Fancy Nesting Circle Dies
Vellum
Card Making Magic - Happy Birthday Die

Here's my inspiration for these backgrounds :D It's the fabric on one of the types of seating in the cafe of my local garden centre :D :D :D

Happy Everything with Nuvo Watercolour Pencils :D

A very pastel card for me, having a play with the NEW Nuvo watercolour pencils :D I had been dying to see if they'd work through a stencil and still move if I sprayed them, and they did :D :D :DI was also keen to try and see if I could scribble the Nuvo Glitter Markers onto a stencil, spray with water and then press onto card to get a negative impression of the stencil, and that worked too :D :D :D Hope you liked this unusually pastel card from me lol :D

Hot Foiling and Paper Piecing with Tonic Perfumerie Dies :D

I am really loving paper piecing lately, and I thought this geometric panel die from the Panache Perfumerie Die Set from Tonic would be the perfect challenge!! I also love that they've included some debossing dies in the set, which you can use just like Hot Foil Stamps :D In this instance, I wanted to use Rose Platinum card and Rose Gold Glitter for the paper piecing, but I don't have any rose gold foil, so I used Clear foil on the Coral Pink card I was using, then used Abandoned Coral Distress Crayon over the top so the foil stood out :D :D I think this is the only intricate panel die in the set that you can perfectly create a large panel with, because the pattern is regimented so it locks into the previous die-cut part to allow you to extend it :D This did take me a long time to do, especially the larger panel on the card on the right, but I find it really relaxing, and this one tool about an hour in front of the telly :D :D :D
