I Love this adorable Christmas Angel die from Craft Stash in their Fuzzy Lemon range! It makes a stunning focal topper for a card, but you can also use her to create decorations too, she would look gorgeous in silver and purple to go on my Christmas tree this year :D
I LOVE this Enchanted Corner Gnome magazine freebie from issue 150 of Papercraft Essentials, and for the video I thought I would go for a really wintery grey and blue colour scheme, as for the cards in the magazine I got given a lovely bright scheme (which worked fabulously for Summer Christmas cards too, as seen in issue 47 of Creative Stamping where I had a cross-over feature :D) :D And I decided to make a shaker card in the video, it was between that or a spinner, but I seem to like my shakers at the moment, so I went with that :D I used Distress Inks and ghosting techniques along with blending Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Polish through a stencil too, and I used Large Glass Cosmic Shimmer Micro-Beads for the shaker element :D I also really love this 'With Love at Christmas' sentiment from the free set, it is a GORGEOUS font :D Hope you liked today's card! :D
This weeks Blog Tonic post ended up being quite a funky card! In my head I was planning an elegant card with the Cool Jade Heat Embossing watercoloured in with Nuvo Mousse, however I then decided to add colour to the background too, and went through multiple phases of not liking it lol, but after spraying it with lots of water and dabbing in some more Old Navy Mousse, I left it to dry and quite liked the end result :D I used one of the cool heart blister shakers as my focal element, but I kept the piece of background I cut out to go behind it so that it's almost camouflaged into the card :D I used a couple of Tonic sentiment dies for the sentiment, snipping off the Enjoy to just give Celebrate Today as my final sentiment, and I experimented with double embossing the Celebrate word with the Classic Silver Nuvo Embossing powder, and it looks stunning!!! If you've ever soldered anything, you'll know what I mean when I say it looks like molten solder :D Although today's card didn't turn out as elegant as it was in my head I really like the end card :D Hope you do too :D
