Spellbinders Falling Feathers Happy Anniversary :D

A bit of mixed media, making a messy background with some Tonic and Nuvo products and textured card, then heat embossing and watercolouring the gorgeous feathers from the Spellbinders set :D Hope you liked the card! I don't usually use this kind of colour combination, but I suppose it gives a more masculine feel to the card as well as being a little bit blingy :D :D

Glittered Acetate Easel Tonic February Craft Kit :D

I used Kit #6 in last weeks video too, but I couldn't resist using it again (it has sold out now, but this is for those of you who got it, those of you who didn't, look out for Kit #7 in the link below :D) and I just had to make a gorgeous butterfly easel, and obviously I had to incorporate the glitters too :D This is such a wonderful combination of colours in the Peacock Feather set of glitters, and I've added a link to these individually below too :D :D I might be a little hard to see how I put together this easel in my video as I was using acetate, so be sure to check out Tonic's YouTube channel where they have some stunning videos showing different ways to use your kit :D :D Hope you enjoyed the video :D

Decoupaged Paper Pieced Violets :D

Creating a dimensional violet cluster with patterned papers :D and a cool sentiment background too :D :D :D I love this new idea from CraftStash having a new flower each month of the year to use on birthday cards :D February's flower is violets (my favourite colour hehehe) I filmed a couple of videos with this stamp set (the other will be up soonish) and there's also a stencil, embossing folder and dies to coordinate too :D Hope you enjoyed the video :D

The Christina Collection - Hot Foiling with an Embossing Folder :D

A pair of Wedding or Wedding Anniversary cards using some of the new additions to The Christina Collection from Card Making Magic, exclusive to CraftStash.co.uk :D I've been experimenting with my Go Press and Foil machine, and the Flourish folder was just screaming out to be foiled hehehe :D To do this technique with the Go Press, you need to buy a metal shim, this doesn't come with the machine, you might even have one from a die-cutting machine too, and you also need to let your machine get nice and hot!! leave it longer than you think and make sure to run it through the machine slowly to get a good coverage :D Also to transfer the negative foil, make sure to add in a few extra shims to get enough pressure for a clean transfer! It's not always 100% perfect, but I'm very happy with the results! And the heat doesn't affect your folder at all! I was worried about trying this to begin with, so I used a folder that had come free on a magazine, but seriously, all the folders I've used have been totally fine :D :D :D Hope you enjoyed the video!! :D
