Stag Head and Poinsettia Trio :D

A trio of Stag and Poinsettia themed Christmas cards using the new stencil duo sets from CraftStash :D These are fab sets that include 2 stencils that work really well together, or used singly too :D In this video I used the Stag and Poinsettia set, and I also have the Holly and Bauble set too, but I think there are 4 different sets altogether :D I also teamed my cards up with a new Christmas sentiment stamp set from Apple Blossom too :D And I threw in the stag die from issue 167 of Simply Cards and Papercraft :D Hope you liked the video, this was originally shown on the CraftStash YouTube channel too :D

Happy Birthday Ironed Off Butterflies :D

This card was another one of my Mum's Birthday cards, but this one was for my Dad to give to her :D He requested a larger card than I usually make, and said I could do whatever I liked, so I had a blast messing around with Dyna paints, Gesso and my Gansai Tambi Starry Night colours too :D Oh, and some Paper Artsy stencils which I got when I was at Ally Pally a few weeks ago :D My original idea was that the heat embossed buterflies would resist the Dyna paint, however I wasn't quick enough, and it dried on top before I had the chance to wipe it off... so, I carried on with my background, then I used the iron off technique, this way the butterflies appeared again as I re-melted the embossing powder with an iron and pulled it off with some scrap paper! I LOVE this technique, but am often too lazy to go downstairs and use my iron, but now I have this dinky little craft iron from Stix2, it's so much easier :D :D :D Hope you liked the card :D

Thomas Kinkade Modern Christmas Cards :D

A trio of quite modern Christmas cards compared to the usual Thomas Kinkade style :D For my feature in this issue I used some of the Thomas Kinkade scene stamps to create bendi cards, but for the video I thought I would attempt to put a modern twist on the kit included with the magazine :D Hope you like it :D For the backgrounds, I used one of the new layering stencils from CraftStash, I'm in love with this poinsettia design :D And I teamed it up with Distress Oxides and Nuvo Mousse too :D I made use of the free embossing folder to create a border to my cards, and for the focal elements I used the tree and snowman stamps (with coordinating dies) and the sentiments too :D :D :D

It's Party Time Tonic :D

I just got some of the Craft Perfect Bright White card from Tonic, and I couldn't wait to try colouring on it with my Nuvo Creative Pens :D I love the weave texture! And I think it works great because it kind of gives the look of canvas, and almost looks like you've painted it rather than coloured it :D I got the seamless circle stencil when I was at Ally Pally a couple of weeks back, and just had to use it to create a subtle background with some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse :D I also only just got this gorgeous floral stamp set too, and it is stunning!! It looks great heat embossed and used for an embossed resist too :D I finished the card with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops, the Morning Dew ones, I love adding these, especially over something you've coloured, because they're almost camouflaged :D Hope you liked today's video :D

Happy Birthday Spellbinders Dyna Patchwork :D

I just got a couple of the Quilt It dies, and couldn't wait to have a play with them :D For this card, I painted some white card using 3 colours of Pebeo Dyna paints to give a lovely pearly finish :D This is a Birthday card for my Mum, there'll be two more videos up at some point that are also Birthday cards for her too :D She always gets multiple cards from me, as my Sister, Dad and the Dog always need one to give her too :D :D I embossed some gold vellum with the Medallion embossing folder to go behind the frame, which I made using another die set I just got, the Francesca labels, I've been after these for a while too, they're a nice classic but modern twist on a label shape (which I LOVE) :D hope you liked the video :D
