Apple Blossom Flower Cluster :D

A floral cluster of sparkly flowers with a subtle watercolourey background and some subtle stamping :D I really love this style of card having the flowers all bunched in a strip down one side of the card :D :D :D This is such a great stamp set from Apple Blossom, you'd think you'd have to use it in conjunction with another stamp set or a die set to create a card, but because they've included the little flower stamps, it creates a gorgeous stand alone card :D I really LOVE how this card came out!! It's one of those ones you're really proud of lol, and it was hard for me to part with it to send it off to CraftStash :D :D :D Another one of those cards to add to my ever growing list of cards I want to make again when I get a chance, trouble is I keep coming up with so many new ideas to try I never get round to making them again lol At least I can watch the video back to remind myself how I made it lol :D

So I started by stamping and colouring all my flowers and leaves, to do this I used some Distress Inks along with a Sparkle pen to watercolour them :D Then to make the background, I added some extra water to my glass mat and then I swiped my card through the ink to give a loose watercolour look (I must remember to do this more, because it looks so lovely! Especially when you add lots of water to give the subtle look) Once the background was dry I added in some tone on tone stamping using one of the sentiments along with some Altenew Crisp Inks :D I then cut out all my elements leaving a little white edge, and I stamped my sentiment and added a doodled black border and cut that out too :D Finally I assembled everything together using a mix of Cosmic Shimmer Glue and 3D foam, then I added a scattering of Bubblegum Blush Nuvo drops and Voila card done :D Hope you liked the card :D I think this would look great in lots of different colours too :D :D :D

Sent With Love Brayered Nuvo Mousse :D

A simple but effective way of using your Nuvo Embellishment Mousse with an Embossing Folder :D I also used the dinky little heart shaped tag from the Delicate Gesture Box die set from Tonic to create a trio of heart shaped apertures too :D I like to use dies as the negative of what they were intended to be, it makes them so much more versatile :D

So to create this simple but effective background, start by embossing a piece of white card with your chosen folder, then smoosh a small amount of two colours of Nuvo Mousse next to each other on your Tonic Glass cutting mat, spritz with a little water and mix it in with a palette knife, then use a brayer to apply them over your embossed card (make sure to turn your card or brayer on your second roll over the card so you don't muddy the colours :D) I also watered down the leftover mousse even more and flicked some on with a paintbrush too (this is like my new favourite thing to do, if I can water it down, it seems to get flicked on my page or card lol :D) I also rolled some of the extra mousse onto a scrap of card to use for my sentiment too :D To create my focal panel, I used the heart die three times to create the apertures, and then I simply attached everything together using a strip of vellum and some pre-made Duck Egg Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops :D I was organising my pre-made drops the other day, they're now all in my little staking containers, in rainbow order of course :D It makes such a difference having them pre-made ahead of time, and because you made them yourself you can store them in a small container rather than having to store sheets of self-adhesive embellishments :D Anyway, hope you liked the card :D Don't forget, there won't be a CRaFTi video tomorrow, it'll be another Art Journal Layout over on my ArTi channel :D

Rainbow Spellbinders Geo Heart Shaker Card :D

A lovely vibrant and cheerful rainbow heart shaker card :D I had this idea a little while ago to create a rainbow shaker, and the only easy way to do this, and keep the colours of sequins separated is to use a die with lots of open spaces, and I thought this gorgeous Geo Heart from Spellbinders would be fantastic!! :D The other Geo dies would also work well too I think, might have to try that at some point :D

I die-cut 3 of the Geo hearts and one of the backing heart, and then I used various colours of Distress Ink to ink blend on a rainbow of colour, matching my ink choices to the Martha Stewart heart glitter colours that I have :D I then glued two of the intricate Geo hearts on top of each other onto the solid rainbow piece, then added in my sequins, putting the corresponding coloured sequins in the geometric holes :D I then took the final Geo heart and stuck this onto some acetate, then trimmed around the edge with scissors, and then I attached this as the lid of my shaker :D For my background panel I used some Altenew Crisp ink cubes, the warm grey pack, along with a Heidi Swapp Triangles stencil, then I added in some subtle stamping using a sentiment and a heart stamp again using the same tones of inks :D Finally I assembled the card, and added some Oyster Grey Nuvo Crystal Drops as my final finishing touch along with some clear glitter too :D Hope you liked the card :D There'll be a new video using Spellbinders products every Monday :D :D :D :

We Blend Well Shaker Card :D

A cute smoothie shaker card :D I actually made this card back when I was posting lots of valentine's cards, but I didn't have a spare day to post it, so thought I'd share it now :D It's kinda a random setting having a blender on a beach, but that's just how it ended up lol :D Well it may not really look like a beach now I look at the card again, but that was my thinking as I was creating it, a nice blue sky and some sandy ground :D So this was a pretty simple shaker card that you can see the process for in the YouTube video below :D To make the blender shake, all you need to do is use scissors to cut out the 'glass' area, then back this with acetate, add lots of 3D foam (I think I used double for this card so that the large glass Creative Expressions micro beads would shake nicely) then add your shaker elements and the backing piece :D And obviously before you do all of those steps, you need to create your scene and colour everything in :D Hope you liked the card :D The main stamp set used is the gorgeous So Smooth stamp set from Lawn Fawn :D

Happy Birthday Little Lamb :D

Another sweet spring themed card, a Birthday card this time, using the versatile Spring Garden stamp and die set free with issue 144 of Papercraft Essentials :D The picket fence die in this set is fantastic, I've wanted a picket fence die for ages, and I had so much fun playing with it :D It's great because you can use it as the generic white picket fence, or you can use ProMarkers to colour it and give it a wood effect like I have here, or you can even snip it into pieces and use it to create other things, here I snipped off one piece to create a gate, but in the magazine I show you step by step how I created a crate, and also a wooden box, a little sign post, and I even used all the panels separately to create a frame on one card too :D So make sure you get your copy, I've linked to moremags.com in my list of main products below :D

To create my ink blended cloudy sky, I used a piece of Doflex which I cut into a random cloud like border with scissors (I created this AGES ago, and a bigger one too, I thought I'd use it quite often, so that's why I made it from Doflex, but you could just use printer paper, then chuck it after a few uses :D) Then I simply dragged some ink over the mask to give a white cloud with blue sky behind :D You see me do this twice in the video below as I decided the Peacock Feathers wasn't dark enough, so I came back in with Mermaid Lagoon as that fitted in with the intensity of the ProMarkers better :D I also added some Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Inks to the Pastel Green Foundations card I had used to cut the grassy border too :D Then I simply arranged all my pieces, and you can see in the video how in-decisive I was at deciding where to place all the Hydrangeas lol :D Hope you liked the card :D :D :D

I'm Rooting For You :D

A cute spring themed encouragement card using the Spring Garden free gift from issue 144 of Papercraft Essentials, along with the Rooting For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn :D I really love combining the Magazine Freebies with other stamp or die sets from my stash, and I thought the oversized carrots from the Lawn Fawn Rooting For You stamp set would work fantastically well :D I would have done this as one of the cards for the magazine, if I'd had this Lawn Fawn stamp set at the time lol And I really love splattering ink or embellishment mousse or sparkle pen over my backgrounds at the moment, I think it just makes it look so modern, which I really like :D

This card did take me quite a while to make, I think I was up to 3.5hours after filming this card and tomorrows one lol, I do like to take my time making my cards, as that's what it's all about for me, it's not how many cards I've made, it's how much I enjoyed making them, and how much I like them once I've finished :D so anyway, for the background, I used Orange Soda, Neon Red, Lime Green and Field Greens Hero Arts Inks to stamp the Lawn Fawn carrots, Soft Pool Hero Arts ink to stamp the tiny carrots word in the background, along with splashes of Broken China Distress Ink, and then for colouring the little carrots from the free stamp set, I used my ProMarkers, and I also used these for the main images too :D I really love the way the colouring on the wheelbarrow came out, there's something about the way I've coloured the wheel and added that doodling that just makes me smile (no idea why lol) I did quite a bit of my doodley sketching on this card, as the Lawn Fawn carrots needed an outline so they would coordinate :D Hope you liked the card :D There'll be another video using this freebie tomorrow :D
