Have an Unbelievable Birthday :D

A totally Tonic card using a whole variety of Tonic Studio products including stencils, stamps, mousse and more :D I also used a paint swatch from Homebase on this card too :D :D I've wanted to use one of these colour charts on a card for ages, and this green one just happened to be lying on my desk, so I thought why not base my card around it :D

To create the background for this card, I ink blended some Distress Inks over a Tonic stencil (Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron) and then I used a mixture of just Lemon Sorbet and a mix of Lemon Sorbet and Aquamarine Embellishment Mousse and a small round paintbrush to add on some splashes of colour :D I then used the Bunched Bouquet stamp set along with my MISTI to stamp my flowers and leaves, and I used Lemon Yellow, Butter Bar, Lime green and Field Greens Hero Arts ink cubes :D For the sentiment I used the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends stamp set, as I wanted a cheerful birthday sentiment to go with this gorgeous spring colour scheme :D The finishing touches were then a scattering of Crystal Drops and also in the centre of the flower, I added a big blob of glue, then 5 pre-made crystal drops, and then to cover the rest of the glue, I added on some Fresh Kiwi Sparkle Dust :D Hope you liked this Tonic-tastic card :D

Positive and Negative Spellbinders Tropical Pineapples :D

A duo of tropical cards using the gorgeous Tropics die set from Spellbinders :D I decided to make one birthday card and one thank you card, using the 'waste' from one card to make the second one :D And for both cards, I only used two dies from the set, it just goes to show how versatile a die set can be :D And you could probably create a similar duo of card by using some of the other dies in the set too :D To create my custom sentiments, I used a combination of stamp sets, Cutie Pie and Loads of Fun from Lawn Fawn for the small words, and the Calligraphy Alpha set from Altenew for the big tropical word (I love how these stamps work to create that scripty look, and it is sooooo easy to achieve too!! :D) :D

For the thank you card, I decided to go for a white on white background, and as I was cutting out all the pineapples for this card, I thought I might as well lay them out nicely on the piece of card I was cutting them from to give me a nice negative piece to use on a second card :D I also used the separate top piece of the pineapple die, so that I could layer these on top to give a little bit of dimension to the background :D And then to finish this card off I also create three focal pineapples by again cutting both pieces, then using Fossilized Amber, Brushed Corduroy, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Inks to add colour, then the addition of a little bit of sparkle pen on the pineapples and some splashes in the background along with some Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops completed this card :D

For the Birthday card, I used the 'waste' from the first card, and I added an ink blended background behind it. I used Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks, then I covered this with a double sided sticky sheet, and added on some Nuvo Pure Sheen Diamond Glitter :D I then simply mounted the negative piece over the top with some 3D foam, then I added my sentiment and again some Crystal Drops, and voila two cards for the price of one :D I hope you liked the cards :D Don't forget to pop back next Monday for another Spellbinders video :D

We Mermaid for each Other :D

Yet another Valentine's themed card, the last until next year now lol This one is using the gorgeous Mermaid for You stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I love this set! I have an idea for an art journal page to do with this set too, and that'll be up on my ArTi PoTeNTiAl :D channel when I get around to actually filming it lol :D So for this card, I stamped in Archival ink, and I watercoloured with my Gansai Tambi watercolour paints :D I used some Pebeo Drawing Gum to mask off the most important images so I could do a nice wash over the background, then once everything was dry, I peeled off the masking fluid and coloured the rest of the images :D I had also flicked on some drawing gum so that it would reveal some white bubbles in the background, then finally I added on some sparkle and some Nuvo Sea Breeze Jewel Drops too :D Hope you liked the card :D

I Would be Lost Without You :D

Another fun and punny 'Valentine's' card, but it wouldn't have to be for Valentine's Day specifically :D Last year I made a version of this card for my mum that said 'we would be lost without you... doing our washing' and I got my sister and Dad to sign it too lol :D Her version was actually a shaker card, and this one was going to be a shaker card, but I got carried away lol, so I ended up adding a layer of glossy accents over the drum of the machine instead :D But I will be doing a video of a shaker card version eventually :D I love that you can personalize the colours of the washing basket, the washing and the machine to the recipient, for the card I did for my mum, I made the washing basket yellow as it's her favourite colour, and I also coloured some of the washing to look like the dogs blankets and my brightly coloured socks etc... anyway, hope you liked the card :D

You Have a Pizza my Heart :D

A couple of really quick punny Valentine's Day cards using the fabulous Pizza My Heart stamp set from Lawn Fawn :D These don't actually say the words 'Valentine's Day' so they could just be a random kindness card to send to someone too :D I really love the fun feel to this stamp set, and for the card above, I thought why not accentuate the 'pizza my heart' and actually make it look like a piece of the pizza heart is missing lol :D I really love the clean and simple look of just some simple stamping a clean colouring, but I often struggle as I want to ink blend and splash stuff on etc.. but I think in the few cards that have been up and will be up this week, I think I've managed that simple but effective look :D Hope you liked the cards :D

Happy Valentine's Day You're Fintastic :D

I love love love this Fintastic Friends stamp set from Lawn Fawn, and I just had to use it for a Valentine's day card! I went for a clean and simple card using lots of masking, and combining it with a couple of other Lawn Fawn stamp sets too (Mermaid for You and Plan on it Holidays) :D I was also using some new to me colours of Letraset Promarkers, I just treated myself to another 27 colours, as Cowling and Wilcox had a sale, and they were only £1 each!! Which is incredible!! I still have all the Promarkers I've ever brought, and I got my first ones back in 2011, and there is only one that is starting to dry up, and I've used them alot!! :D :D :D so I thought why not invest in a few of those odd or in between colours that I often reach for and they're not there lol :D

Hope you liked the card, I really love how it turned out, I think the masking and the colouring turned out even better than I was imagining in my head! :D This is such a gorgeous stamp set, why did I not get it sooner!! :D :D :D
