Happy Birthday Feathers :D

Some cool Copic colouring with the flicking technique on a subtle background :D I really love these feather images from Poppy Crafts, they call them leaves, but I think they're feathers lol, I did need to stamp them quite a few times to get a decent impression, but you can't expect much for how cheap they are lol :D I used the Lace Oval die to emboss the cut line into one of the backgrounds and I used the Cloud Design embossing folder on the other (this gives a VERY subtle impression, which is different, but just a warning, you'll need to use more shims that you usually would :D) I added some gilding polish over the top to pick out the detail, and I also use my Lace background stamp to add some extra interest on the orange card too :D :D Hope you liked the cards! :D

Acrylic Pouring for Cards using Nuvo :D

I've been having a little dabble with the Acrylic Pouring craze recently, and I thought why not give it ago with some Nuvo products! I know it's not technically 'Acrylic' pouring, but you use the same basic principle :D :D :D I did a bigger panel using the same supplies (and these were the leftovers) but I haven't quite finished that yet, I want to embellish it more, but when I have, that'll be up on my ArTi channel :D

When using the Embellishment Mousse instead of acrylic paint, you really do need to stir it well to make sure there are no lumps left (unlike me, as I was being impatient lol!!) but if you do have some lumps, you can always just pick them out before it dries, or leave it in for some extra texture :D Also because I used some glitter mixed with the pouring medium and glue, you get this cool translucent look, and the Mousse gives that kind of look too, it's really fascinating :D  And very different effect from just using Acrylic paints!! I really need to make some more time to do some more experiments like this too, as it was so much fun :D :D :D Hope you liked this effect, I'm pretty certain no one has done this before, but I might be wrong hahaha :D

Izink Squishes with Altenew :D

A pair of bold and bright cards using a cool technique to create the background :) I've been really enjoying this technique I call 'squishes' recently, ever since I tried some acrylic pouring, I've been applying it to everything hahaha, but it works fabulously with the Izink 3D Texture pastes because they keep that cool texture, AND you can die-cut it too!! :D And these Altenew stamps are Stunning!! I treated myself to them along with the Layered Laurel one (which I used a few weeks ago) around Christmas time, and I've only just gotten round to using them lol :D :D :D

I REALLY LOVE how these cards turned out, exactly how I imagined them in my head lol :D :D :D And I think the stunning rainbow gems really finished them off perfectly!! Watch out on my Facebook page for these gems too :D I might have gone a little OTT trying to find them cheaper than other sellers, so to make some of my money back I will be selling some sets :D I might sell them on ebay, but I'll be advertising them on my Facebook Page :D :D :D Just need to wait for the boxes to arrive hahahah :D
