Altenew Merry Christmas to Someone Special :D

A Christmas rose shaker card using the fab Altenew Christmas Rose stamp and die collection free with issue 157 of Simply Cards and Papercraft :D And I also used the gorgeous Merry Christmas stamp which came free in the Festive Fun stamp set back with issue 34 of Creative Stamping :D

For the background of this card, I used the 'To Someone Special' stamp from the set, and stamped it multiple times down the left had side of the card using some Soft Pool Hero Arts ink :D I then stamped on my Merry Christmas sentiment in black :D For the main focal shaker element, I used the rose image on the top left of the packaging as inspiration... I used a circle layering die from Tonic Studios and then die cut the rose die from the centre, I then used multiple passes through the machine to cut out all the leaves too, using the image from the packaging to get the placement nice and balanced :D To back this I decided to use some Aqua Foundations card along with another layering die from Tonic Studios, this time the scalloped circles along with a stitched circle die too, I cut them together to make a frame, but in the end I decided to place them back together, and having the double stitched die gives that lovely stitching detail :D

I used the initial flower die-cut along with multiple die-cuts of both the leaves later on to create my rose :) I used VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment ink to stamp all my outlines (this time just using an acrylic block, as I was only stamping a few and they're so easy to line up :D) Then I used three colours from my Gansai Tambi Watercolours to colour them in along with a little bit of clear sparkle pen :D To get the leaves and flower in the right place so that they line up perfectly with the aperture in the front of the shaker, temporarily tape the white and pale blue circles together, then start adding in the leaves (as shown in the video) then add the rose over the top, you can then carefully remove the white circle, and then all the die-cuts will be perfectly placed :D I then added a piece of acetate and a double thickness of foam tape around the aperture and used some tiny heart confetti as my shaker elements :D For the final finishing touches on my card, I used some Sea Breeze Nuvo Jewel drops along with a scattering of the tiny heart sequins too :D Hope you liked the card :D
