Ice Cream Shaker Cards :D

I created these shaker cards using the amazing Ice Cream Sundae Stamp, Die and Embossing Folder set from Issue 13 of Die-Cutting Essentials :D These cards may look a little bit complex, but they're actually really simple, you've just kinda got to think a little bit backwards lol :D

I started by choosing all the patterned papers I wanted and by deciding on the layouts (I have sooo many note books dotted all round the house so that I can jot down these kinds of ideas when inspiration strikes :D) I think my favourite version is the thanks card on the right! And I'm so glad I thought to add in a wafer, as I think that saved the blue version, it looked a little weird before I added that :D... I then moved on to die-cutting everything, I think this was the most time consuming bit, so much die-cutting!!!

The video below should be pretty self explanatory showing how I die-cut the apertures and how I added the acetate and foam tape to create my shakers. For the shaker backers I coloured some white card with a Promarker, I used Rose Pink and Mint Green. To give the backers a little bit of interest, I die-cut the ice cream from some funky foam, and used a white ink pad and some clear sparkly embossing powder, this didn't work that well in the end as my embossing powder is probably more than ten years old lol, and it doesn't seem to melt much any more lol :D In the video below you'll be able to see how I lined up the backer and stamped through the aperture to get the embossing in the right place too :D

For the pink shaker elements I used chunky iridescent glitter, pink micro beads and pink seed beads. For the blue shaker elements I used chunky iridescent glitter, turquoise micro beads, large glass micro beads, blue seed beads and blue bugle beads (to sort of emulate hundreds and thousands) :D  I also doubled up the foam tape on the blue shaker to accommodate the chunkier shaker elements :D Hope you like the cards :D

Lots more photos below :D If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments :D Thank you!
